Power Supply Requirements for BB Fertilizer Mixers

The BB fertilizer mixer is classified as industrial power equipment. To ensure the stable, safe, and long-term normal operation of the unit, its power supply system must be configured in strict accordance with industrial electricity standards, satisfying requirements across various aspects including voltage, frequency, power capacity, wiring, grounding, and protection mechanisms.

The standard power supply for the equipment is a three-phase, five-wire system operating at 380V AC and 50Hz. The permissible voltage fluctuation range is ±10%; voltages that are either too high or too low can result in insufficient motor output, severe overheating, or even motor burnout, thereby compromising mixing uniformity and the overall service life of the equipment. Depending on the specific equipment model and production capacity, the total power of the accompanying motors typically ranges from 4 kW to 22 kW. The power supply capacity must exceed the equipment’s total rated power, incorporating a sufficient safety margin to prevent voltage drops or circuit tripping caused by sharing a power line with other high-power equipment.

The power supply lines should utilize copper-core cables that comply with national standards. The cross-sectional area of the cables must be appropriately selected based on the motor’s rated current to ensure adequate current-carrying capacity and minimal line loss. The power distribution cabinet must be equipped with certified air circuit breakers, AC contactors, and thermal overload relays, providing comprehensive protection against short circuits, overloads, and phase loss. Operation under phase-loss conditions or without proper protection is strictly prohibited. The equipment must be reliably grounded using a dedicated ground wire, with a grounding resistance of less than 4Ω, to prevent safety hazards such as electrical leakage and electric shock.

The installation environment for the equipment should be dry, well-ventilated, and free from severe dust accumulation or corrosive elements. The power distribution cabinet should ideally be of a rain-proof and dust-proof design, with an ingress protection (IP) rating of no less than IP54. For models featuring automatic controls or pneumatic discharge gates, in addition to the main power supply, a source of clean compressed air with a pressure of 0.5–0.8 MPa must also be provided. By strictly adhering to the aforementioned power supply requirements, the BB fertilizer mixer can be guaranteed to operate smoothly, achieve uniform mixing results, maintain a low fault rate, and ensure safe and reliable usage.
