How to Ensure the Continuous and Stable Operation of a Roller Press Granulation Production Line

To ensure the continuous and stable operation of a roller press granulator production line, it is necessary to address three aspects: equipment maintenance, process control, and process management:

  1. Preventive Equipment Maintenance

Regularly check the gap between the rollers of the fertilizer roller press granulator (recommended to be controlled between 0.5 and 1.5 mm, adjusted according to particle size) to avoid uneven material extrusion caused by roller surface wear or loose bearings. Clean residual material buildup on the roller surface weekly and repair scratches on the roller surface with special tools to prevent material jamming; replace the gearbox lubricating oil monthly and check the tension of the transmission belt to prevent slippage or breakage.

  1. Precise Control of Process Parameters

The raw material moisture content should be stable at 15%~20% (too high will cause sticking to the rollers, too low will result in brittle granules), which can be adjusted in real time through a pre-drying machine. The feeding speed should match the roller pressure, and a variable frequency drive should be used to control the feeding amount to ensure that the material enters the rollers evenly and avoid instantaneous overload. At the same time, regularly calibrate the pressure sensor to ensure stable roller pressure (usually 15~25 MPa) to prevent inconsistent granule strength due to pressure fluctuations.

  1. Process Management

Establish a shift handover system, meticulously recording the equipment status, raw material parameters, and fault conditions of the previous shift. Set up an alarm mechanism for critical parameters (such as roller temperature exceeding 60°C, abnormal current increase) to promptly shut down the machine for troubleshooting. In addition, stock spare parts (such as roller shells and bearings) to shorten maintenance downtime and ensure that the production line can quickly resume operation in case of minor faults.

Through these measures, downtime caused by equipment failures or process fluctuations can be effectively reduced, improving the continuous operation efficiency of the roller press granulation production line.
