The drum granulator efficiently leads the formation of npk fertilizer granules
Granulation is the core part of fertilizer processing in the npk fertilizer production line. It mainly processes the pre-treated uniform powder into round, uniform and standard hardness particles through special equipment. The operating status of the equipment at this stage directly determines the appearance and quality of the fertilizer particles.
The process of the granulation stage is simple and rigorous. The pretreated mixed powder is fed into the fertilizer granulator at a uniform speed through the conveying equipment (the main flow is the drum granulator). The drum granulator drives the drum to rotate at a constant speed through a motor. The drum is tilted at 3-5°. The powder is subject to the combined action of centrifugal force, friction and gravity in the drum, constantly rolling and bonding. At the same time, the binder is sprayed through the spray device to gradually form particles with a particle size of 2-4mm.
During the granulation process, the fertilizer hot air furnace provides stable hot air to the drum granulator to assist in drying and shaping the granules and avoid granule adhesion. The core equipment at this stage is a drum granulator, and the supporting equipment is a fertilizer hot blast furnace and fertilizer conveying equipment. The drum granulator is responsible for the core task of granule forming, the fertilizer hot air furnace ensures the dryness of the granules, and the fertilizer conveying equipment realizes the uniform feeding of raw materials. The cooperation of the three ensures that the granulation process is efficient and stable, and the granulation pass rate can reach more than 95%.
