Tons Bag Fertilizer Packing Machine

Ton bag fertilizer packaging machines are core equipment for packaging bulk materials in the fertilizer and chemical industries. They operate continuously in dusty environments, involving the coordinated work of multiple subsystems such as mechanical transmission, pneumatic actuation, weighing and metering, electrical control, and dust removal. Because ton bag packaging machines handle large-volume filling tasks of 500-2000kg per bag, the equipment operates under heavy loads and at high frequency. Therefore, the standardization of operation and the quality of maintenance directly affect packaging accuracy, production efficiency, equipment lifespan, and operational safety.

The core of ton bag fertilizer packaging machine operation and maintenance is “regular calibration to ensure accuracy, checking seals to prevent leaks, cleaning and maintenance to remove accumulated material, and standardized operation to ensure safety.” Operators should undergo professional training and be familiar with the equipment structure and working principles before operating it. Establishing a scientific and standardized operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting system is the foundation for ensuring the long-term, efficient, and stable operation of ton bag fertilizer packaging machines.

Equipment Structure

From an operation and maintenance perspective, the ton bag fertilizer packaging machine can be divided into the following functional modules:

(I) Feeding Module: Includes the feeding mechanism (gravity type or screw type), feeding motor, pneumatic valves, etc. The feeding screw blades are the most vulnerable parts and require regular inspection for wear.

(II) Weighing Module: Includes weighing sensors, junction box, weighing platform, and weighing instrument. The sensors are the most precise components and require regular calibration.

(III) Bag Clamping and Hanging Module: Includes bag clamping cylinders, hanging ears (hooks), lifting cylinders, and bag clamping seals. Seals require regular inspection and replacement.

(IV) Dust Removal Module: Includes dust collectors (pulse or cyclone), fans, sealing covers, and air ducts.

(V) Conveying Module: Includes chain conveyors or belt conveyors.

(VI) Control Module: Includes PLC controller, human-machine interface, weighing instrument, and various sensors.

Application range of equipment

Ton bag fertilizer packaging machines are widely used for bulk material packaging in industries such as fertilizers, chemicals, building materials, grains, feed, and minerals. In the fertilizer field, they are particularly suitable for bulk packaging of compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, BB fertilizers, urea, phosphate fertilizers, and potash fertilizers.

Types of available raw materials

The ton bag fertilizer packaging machine can process raw materials including granular fertilizers (compound fertilizer, urea, potash fertilizer, BB fertilizer, etc.), powdered fertilizers (organic fertilizer powder, phosphate powder, water-soluble fertilizer powder, etc.), chemical raw materials, mineral powder, grains, feed, etc.

Working principle of the equipment

The working principle of the ton bag fertilizer packaging machine is based on the coordinated mechanism of electronic weighing and PLC automatic control. The system controls the feeding mechanism to add material to the ton bag according to the set packaging weight. Weighing sensors monitor weight changes in real time. A two-stage feeding method (fast and slow) ensures accuracy. Feeding stops when the set value is reached, and the bag unpacking and conveying process is completed.

Equipment operation method

(I) Pre-start Inspection (5-minute quick check): Operators should wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required. Check all connections for looseness and ensure the casing, feet, and base are intact. Check the integrity of lifting tools such as hooks, slings, and wire ropes. Check the dust collector fan for normal operation. Confirm the emergency stop button is functional.

(II) Bag Hanging and Start-up: Hang the four slings of the ton bag on the hanging ears and place the bag opening over the feed inlet. Press the start button; the bag clamping device will automatically clamp the bag.

(III) Operation Monitoring: During automatic operation, operators must not touch the weighing sensors or adjust control parameters. It is strictly forbidden to put hands into the bag clamping mechanism or feed inlet. Overloading is strictly prohibited.

(IV) Shutdown Operation: After completing the packaging task, shut down all equipment in sequence. Maintain accurate equipment usage and maintenance records and complete shift handover procedures.

Equipment maintenance methods

(I) Daily Maintenance: Clean residual materials and dust from the equipment after each shift. Check the load cells for moisture or material buildup. Check the seals for integrity. Regularly clean dust from the electrical control box.

(II) Periodic Maintenance: Regularly inspect the mechanical structure to ensure all connections are secure. Clean and lubricate moving parts such as guide rails, bearings, and chains according to the prescribed schedule. Check the electrical system cables and terminals for secure connections.

(III) Calibration Management: Regularly calibrate the weighing system using standard weights. If drift occurs, first check for material accumulation. Establish zero-point trend and calibration records.

(IV) Safety Maintenance: Do not open the control cabinet or remove debris while the equipment is running. In explosion-proof environments, unauthorized open flames and disassembly of explosion-proof components are strictly prohibited.
